Falcon stat of the week, by the numbers

STAT OF THE WEEK (22): Men's Lacrosse set a record for goals in a game during Saturday's 22-0 shutout over Hanover College and tied the record on Sunday with a 22-0 victory over Defiance College. It was the first time the Falcons had consecutive shutouts in a season and in the process, they set numerous team and individual.

9:32.88 – Junior Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Friday at the Rex Foster Invitational. Hinze completed the race in 9:32.88 and currently ranks first in the NAC in the event.

20 – Men's Tennis team opened Northern Athletics Conference play with a pair of wins this past weekend and in the process ran their regular season conference winning streak to 20 matches. The last time CUW lost in Men's Tennis was May 1, 2010 against Lakeland College.

26 – Falcons pitcher Andrew Mueller threw 26 innings over an eight day span from March 30-April 7. Mueller (junior, Horicon, Wis.) won back-to-back starts against Wisconsin Lutheran College and MSOE, throwing complete games in both and he also went eight innings against Edgewood College. Over his 26 innings on the mound, Mueller allowed just four earned runs and struck out 19 batters.

34 – Women's Lacrosse handled its two weekend opponents (University of Dubuque 16-6, Loras College 18-2) to the tune of a 34-8 combined score. The victories are the first back-to-back in Falcons history, as both contests were on the road. Four players set new career highs for goals in a game, while they played 1:04:36 of shutout lacrosse.

38 – Softball has scored 38 runs over its past three games. The Falcons won all three of those contests in five innings, beginning with a 10-1 win over Benedictine University on Sunday before sweeping MSOE Monday by scores of 13-1 and 15-3 on Monday. During the three-game winning streak the Falcons have hit five home runs and tallied 36 hits.
