May 2, 2009

Concordia 15 Aurora 12

Aurora 18 Concordia 4

West Bend

Game one was a slugfest from the outset as the two offensively potent teams combined for 33 hits and 7 home runs. Kevin Courvoisier had a 4 hit game including a homer for CUW but the game was not decided until Derrick Pankow came on to get the final three outs and preserve Dan Cattau's second win of the season.

Cattau pitched 6 strong innings, allowing only 3 earned runs but CUW relievers barely held on until Pankow's heroics saved the day.
