CUW drops 22-18 decision at CU-Chicago

CUW led 13-0 early in this contest, but first place Concordia- Chicago came back to overhaul the Falcons and drop Val Keiper's team to 6-10 on the season.

Concordia- Chicago pounded out 26 hits, sixteen of those off Falcon starter Derrick Pankow who lasted 5 2/3 innings and allowed 9 earned runs.

Pankow left the game with a lead but three CUW relievers gave up 10 runs in two innings of work as the tide turned.

CUW got 3 hit performances from Matt Schilter, Mark Schonenberg, and Pankow while collecting 20 base knocks including Harry Steldt's first home run of the year.
