Concordia improved to 4-4 in NAC play with a 10-1 road win over Benedictine (13-11) in game one of Sunday's doubleheader.

Derrick Pankow was outstanding on the mound for CUW, allowing 9 hits and striking out 13 in eight innings of work.

Val Keiper's team, meanwhile, put together a pair of 4 run innings (2nd and 6th) to take control.

Pankow and Dan Shea each had 3 hits as part of the 12 hit Concordia attack.

Eagle pitchers allowed 8 walks and CUW also took advantage of 5 BU errors to score 4 unearned runs.
