Falcon baseball sweeps WLC with 16-10 game two victory


Matt Czasny pitched a solid six innings while his Concordia teammates built a 9-4 lead, and the Falcons held on for a 16-10 win in game two of Sunday's doubleheader.

Val Keiper's team, which had been in a 5 game offensive funk headin into Sunday, put together a 22 hit attack with Harry Steldt going 5-5 to lead the monster offensive output.

Greg Rhude added 4 hits while Daniel Mueller and Adam Martz had 3 each.

WLC got within 12-10 heading into the 9th inning but Concordia scored 4 times to prvide breathing room. Mark Schoneneberg's 2 run double was a key hit in that rally.

The Falcons are 10-7 in league play.
