Associate head coach/special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator Jeff Walker enters his 10th season in 2013.
Walker's special teams units were
impressive in 2012, helping the Falcons to a 7-3 overall record.
The Falcons had the top field goal kicking percentage (75) in the
Northern Athletics Conference and the third best punting average
(34.9 yards per punt). CUW also featured a strong return game,
averaging 22.5 yards per kickoff return, a number that led the
conference. Walker produced three all-conference special teams
players in 2012.
After graduating from Madison Memorial High School, Walker's coaching career began as a student assistant at UW-Whitewater from 1987-90.
He was the first-ever Concordia University Wisconsin graduate assistant during the 1992 and 1993 seasons before taking his coaching skills to Kansas Wesleyan University for two seasons.
Walker then returned to Wisconsin to get married and begin a second coaching stint with CUW. He had been at Fort Hays State University (Kan.) for the previous six campaigns.
Jeff and his wife Dawn (CUW, '90) have two children, Tyler and Keri.
