Guard Mitchell Schneider led the way with 22 points as Concordia (3-1) sprinted past winless Silver Lake College 97- 76 last evening in the Buuck Fieldhouse.
Twelve Falcons got into the scoring column as CUW wore down the visitors, connecting on 15 of 33 from long range by passing the ball well enough to get numerous open perimeter looks.
John Ulrich and Nick Doedens added 16 points each as CUW guards were the recipients of "inside out" assists.
"Our post players recognized double teams and found the open man," assessed Coach Shawn Cassidy. "Our defense created turnovers (14 steals)so we could get out and run." Dwight Weathers led Silver Lake with 19 points and grabbed a dozen rebounds as the visitors won the battle of the boards 45-33.

Shawn Cassidy's Falcons (3-1) match up against Carthage College on Saturday at 2:00pm in game one of the Carroll Classic in Waukesha. Carthage, featuring pre-season All American Steve Djurickovic, has defeated No. 17 Wisconsin-Platteville 78-65 and lost an 82-81 thriller to No.13 Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Game two is a high school contest featuring Waukesha North against Part Washington at 4 p.m. Port Washington is led by Josh Gasser, a University of Wisconsin recruit. The Saturday nightcap (around 6 pm) will pit Carroll, led by their preseason All-American John Hoch, against Wisconsin Lutheran.
On Sunday, Carthage will square off against Wisconsin Lutheran at 2 p.m. followed by Carroll versus CUW at 4 p.m. All games in the Classic will be played on the campusof Carroll University in the Van Male Fieldhouse.
