Charlie Averkamp was named Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Golf head coach on Dec. 11, 2013, as announced by Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill.

Since taking over as head coach, Averkamp has continually taken the program to new heights. During the 2014-15 season the Falcons tied for first at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship, before losing in a one hole playoff. It was the highest finish in program history. Evan Rabas and P.J. Clemins earned NACC Player of the Year and NACC Rookie of the Year, respectively, under Averkamp's guidance. The program's roster has also gotten deeper and stronger, growing from six golfers to double-figures.

Averkamp played men's basketball collegiately at Edgewood College on the men's basketball team where he finished with 1,454 points, 908 rebounds and 265 assists, which each rank in the top 13 in Eagles history. He then accepted a graduate assistant women's basketball coaching position at CUW and has since been elevated to full-time assistant coach this past summer.

Averkamp graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in business management from EC in 2009 and with a Master's Degree in business administration from CUW in 2013.
