CUW Men’s Hockey drops 6-2 decision at Finlandia

Houghton, MI

Concordia scored first, but Finlandia came back with 3 tallies in one two minute first period span on the way to a 6-2 win Saturday in Houghton.

After Andrew Dammen gave Tony Hrkac' team their brief lead, the amazing Fin flurry included tallies at 6:46; 7:30; and 8:32 of the intial frame.

Jared Lucas cut the deficit to 3-2 with his first goal of the season midway through the second period but the hosts got two more before that segment ended to take control.

For the second straight day, CUW was superior in the shot column but a fine goal tending performance by the Fins Mike Wuthrich was the difference.

Concordia is now 0-11-1 on the season.
