Falcons and Foresters play to 5-5 tie

That first win of the season is proving very elusive for the 2009-10 Falcon men's hockey team.

On Saturday night Tony Hrkac's skaters (0-13-2) built a 4-0 cushion over the first 38 minutes of action, only to see the visitors storm back to gain a tie in the waning seconds.

Dustin Partacz scored twice for CUW in the first period and teammates Jarred Lucas and Andrew Dammen lit the lamp in the second session before the Forester rally began.

A trio of Lake Forest scores, one a short-handed goal, made it 4-3 before Concordia's Greg Douglas scored at 12:24 of the final session to apparently put a dagger into the visitors.

Such was not the case, however, as Lake Forest pulled their goalie out of the nets and the dagger from their backs in the final minute, scoring not once but twice to earn the improbable tie.
