MEQUON, Wis. – It has been over a month since Concordia University Wisconsin's men's hockey team hosted an opponent, but they will return to action at the Ozaukee Ice Center on Friday and Saturday when Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association foe Northland College makes the trek.
Friday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m., while Saturday's action begins at 4 p.m.
NC (4-10-1, 2-8-0 MCHA) and CUW have met twice each of the last five seasons, with the Lumberjacks holding a 5-2-3 overall record. The Falcons have lost of the last four meetings and earned a pair of ties.
CUW (6-9-0, 6-4-0 MCHA) swept Finlandia University by scores of 3-2 and 5-4 this past weekend to snap a six-game skid. The Falcons have seven of their remaining 10 games at home, which will give them many opportunities to make a run to the top of the league standings.
The Lumberjacks bring a balanced offense into the series with seven players having scored double-digit points. Mike Lennon leads the team with 15 points (four goals, 11 assists), while three players have a team-best six goals.
In all, nine different players have tallied multiple points in a game this season for CUW. Freshman James Poston (Sylvania, Ohio) leads the way with a three-point outing – career-high three assists – last Saturday in a 5-4 victory over FU.
