Men's Hockey receiving votes in latest USCHO.com poll

MEQUON, Wis. – For the second time in program history, the Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Hockey team finds itself apart of the USCHO.com NCAA Division III men's poll. The Falcons received two votes in this week's poll.

The other time CUW found itself receiving a vote came on November 12 of last season. The Falcons received one vote after starting the season with a 4-3-0 record in 2012-13.

CUW is off to a strong start this season as they swept Lawrence University in the opening weekend. The Falcons won 6-2 Friday night at Lawrence before completing the sweep with a 3-2 overtime victory in the home opener at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

The Falcons are one of five NCHA teams in the poll this week. St. Norbert College is ranked second and received five first-place votes, while Adrian College comes in at number six. The College of St. Scholastica is 14th, while MSOE joins the Falcons in the others receiving votes category.

CUW will host No. 14 St. Scholastica for a pair of games this weekend. The Falcons and Saints will begin at 7 p.m. Friday night, followed by a 4 p.m. contest Saturday afternoon.
