Concordia (7-2-2 in the NAC) coupled an early goal from Jacob Pope and a second half tally by Enzo Berrini to score a satisfying road win over Edgewood (5-6-0) last night.
Pope's blast, his second score of the season, ducked under the crossbar just 2:51 into the match.
Berrini's fourth goal of the season came nine minutes into the second half and provided the difference because the Eagles' Paul Domann found the back of the net at 67:31.
The Eagles, fighting for their playoff lives, made things interesting down the stretch but CUW held on.
"Kyle Sytsma helped create both goals," said Coach Tom Saleska, "and our freshmen played especially well."
Saleska's Falcons (11-5-3 overall) will host a first round tournament home match on Sunday at 1:00pm against Marian.
