Track & Field travels to Whitewater Saturday

MEQUON, Wis. - After competing in their first indoor meet of the season last weekend in Kenosha, Wis., the Concordia University Wisconsin men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Whitewater, Wis. on Saturday to take part in the Rocky Rococo Invite inside the Kachel Fieldhouse.

Saturday's action is expected to start at 10 a.m. on the campus of UW-Whitewater.

Last weekend, both Falcon teams got their seasons rolling at the Carthage Private College Invite, where the men's team finished 10th while the women's team placed 11th.

For the Falcon men, CUW standout performers included senior Justin Rogers (Milwaukee, Wis.), who placed third overall in the 55m Dash, posting a team-best time of 6.66 seconds. Rogers also placed sixth overall in the Triple Jump, with a mark of 13.06 meters.

Sophomores Sean Pawlak (Germantown, Wis.) and Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) also impressed for the Falcon men, as Pawlak finished fourth overall in the 400m Dash with a time of 52.02 seconds, while Hinze placed ninth overall in the 800m Run with a time of 2:01.95.

On the women's side, sophomore Alexandra Garcia (West Allis, Wis.) finished ninth overall in the 55m Dash with a time of 8.01 seconds, while sophomore Jessica Henning (Springfield, Ill.) finished eighth in the 200m Dash at 28.96 seconds.

Also competing in Saturday's meet are Carroll College, Aurora University, MSOE, and Edgewood College, amongst others.
