LISLE, Ill.- A combination of wonderful weather and outstanding facilities helped the Falcon men and women do well this Saturday at the Benedictine Track and Field Invite.
On the women's side, freshman Farrah Brown's (Franklin, Wis.) hard work paid off with a pole vault of 3.13m, (better than 10' 2), breaking the school and NAC record. Sophomore Kristin Sitte (Greenfield, Wis.) and sophomore Jessica Hennig (Springfield, Ill.) also had personal records in the pole vault.
Hennig also had a phenomenal race in the 400H, blowing away the competition during her first time in the event with a time of 01:09.9. Freshman Lauren Frisque (Milton, Wis.) ran a personal record in the 200, as well as a great leg in the 4x4.
On the men's side, sophomore Sean Pawlak (Germantown, Wis.) had an impressive day, getting a PR in both the 100m with a time of 11.28 and in the 200m with a 22.47. Junior Michael Edwards (Milwaukee, Wis.) also had an excellent effort with a PR in both the 200 and 400m dash with a 23.33 and 52.8 respectively.
Senior Kevin Gries (Howards Grove, Wis.) ran a great race in the 5k with a PR of 15:50.1. Freshman Robert Meilbeck (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) and Matthew Sheafer (Fort Wayne, Ind.) both ran PRs in the 1500.
