CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Track and Field team traveled to the Cedarville All-Comers Meet this weekend. The Falcons placed fourth out of 14 teams at the meet.
Freshman Tyler White (Milwaukee, Wis.) jumped a personal best of 14.06 meters (46' 1.5") winning the event and scoring 10 points for the Falcons with the jump. White is now ranked 21st in the nation in the event.
In other field events, the throwers continue to improve with freshman Frank Jesse Long (Elwood, Ill.) throwing a PR of 13.6m in the shot put putting him in eighth place. Sophomore Andrew Faber (Germantown, Wis.) hit a huge PR in the hammer throw with a toss of 40.16 meters, while sophomore Jake Kroll (Germantown, Wis.) also threw a PR with a toss of 29.68 meters.
On the track the Men's team scored big, starting out with the 10,000-meter run, where combined, the men scored 23 points, setting the bar high for the team. Junior Jordan Guenther (Horicon, Wis.) came in second place, followed by sophomore Rob Meilbeck (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) who crushed his previous PR by 1:44. Sophomore Christopher Biesboer (Elmhurst, Ill.) and freshman Johann Hink (Cedarburg, Wis.) also all scored PRs in the event. Junior Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) won the 5000 adding another 10 points to the team score with a PR time of 15:44.3. The men's 4x100m relay consisting of sophomore Dylan Krivoshein (Cedarburg, Wis.), Troy Anderson (Burlington, Wis.), Bathong Pham (Milwaukee, Wis.) and junior John Balsman (Rockford, Ill.) came in second place for eight more points for CUW.
The Falcons will return to action next Saturday when they take part in the Wisconsin Private College Championships, hosted by St. Norbert College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
