DiMaggio registers a much-needed win

CUW got back to even in NAC play (4-4) and overall (12-12) with a 6-1 victory over Edgewood in the second game of their Tuesday doubleheader.

The Falcons scored all the runs they needed in the first inning on hits by Chelsie Strosina and Emily Bennin combined with an Eagle throwing error.

Stephanie Brunette drove home two more runs in the second and sloppy fielding by the hosts accounted for two more CUW markers in the 6th.

Edgewood recorded only two hits off CUW's Jenna DiMaggio and got their lone run in the 7th before Falcon reliever Sheri Weidner closed the door on a potential Eagle rally.
