Concordia sweep!

Abbie Goetsch came off the CUW bench to go 3-3 and four of her teammates added 2 hits each as the Falcons managed a 6-4 extra inning win in game two of their doubleheader with Marian.

The host Sabres had tied the game 4-4 with a pair of sixth inning tallies and it stayed that way until the 8th.

CUW's Emily Bennin led off that inning with a single and was sacrificed to second before Angela Ward doubled her home to give Concordia the lead. Stephanie Brunette eventually singled Ward home with an insurance run.

Sheri Weidner earned the win with the save going to Ashley Draeger. The Falcons, 14-12 overall, are now 6-4 in the NAC while Marian fell to 12-9 and 5-5 in league play.
