CUW women head to Colorado College Tourney/ The Scouting Report

MEQUON, Wis.-  Nationally Ranked #3 Calvin will bring an 8-1 record into the Colorado Classic, with the lone loss coming at the hands of UW- Stevens Point.

The Knights, who meet CUW at 4:00pm on Saturday in Colorado Springs, have an amazing track record of recent success, finishing 28-2 last season, and compiling an 85-8 mark over the last 3+ seasons.

Carisa Verkaik is a tremendous inside force, averaging 19 points, shooting 57% from the field, grabbing 10 boards per outing, and blocking or disrupting opponents' shots on a regular basis.

Kayla Engelhard is the other major Knight force to be reckoned with.  She scores 14 points per game while leading her team in assists and steals.

The Michigan powerhouse has outscored opponents by over 20 points per game while shooting 48% from the floor and almost 80% from the charity stripe.
