Charlie Averkamp completed his third season as an assistant coach for the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Basketball program in 2013-14. He was promoted to the program's full-time assistant on May 31, 2013.
Averkamp is also CUW's Men's and Womens Golf head coach.
No stranger to the conference, Averkamp played his collegiate basketball at Edgewood College. As a four year all-conference performer for the Eagles, he recorded the first triple double in school and conference history during his junior campaign against Dominican University (Feb. 3, 2007 - 15 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists).
Basketball is big in the Averkamp household, with his sister Ashley playing basketball at UW-Stevens Point and his cousin Ben playing at Loyola University Chicago. His brother Jason played his collegiate ball with the UW-Milwaukee Panthers.
Averkamp graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in business management in May, 2009 from Edgewood College and with a Master's Degree in May, 2012 from CUW in business administration.
