Falcons grab BIG lead on day 1 of NAC golf championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-  "We played well overall today and separated ourselves from the rest of the pack by over 40 strokes," explained Coach Jim Ingman.  "We were very consistent as a team and everyone contributed."

Ingman was especially enthused  by the first round efforts of Emily Stephenson and Jordan Osowski who finished first and second individually on the first day.  "They both continue to score better and they are really enjoying themselves on the golf course.  I feel that they both know where their game is and where it can go.  They play very smart golf."

"You have to be able to check your ego at the tee and play smart golf shots on this course.  Lexi Westphal and Nina Puch went off #1 and 2.  They know they will play better tomorrow."
