Women's Golf competes against Lake Forest in dual

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. – Concordia University Wisconsin traveled to North Chicago for the second time in two weeks on Thursday to compete against Lake Forest College in a dual meet and this time Mother Nature cooperated. The Foresters won the dual by 12 strokes at Foss Park Golf Course.

CUW shot a 374 total, while LFC posted a 362 team score. Allie Girard led all players with a 7-over-par 79.

In all, four of the five Falcons competing fired career low rounds at the par-72, 5,988-yard course. Sophomore Megan Reddersdorf (Marengo, Ill.) shot a 92 to tie her career low, which included four pars. Freshman Haley Olkiewicz (Oshkosh, Wis.) bested her career round by six shots with a 99 after holing six pars, including three-consecutive on the back nine.

Freshman Madeline Poll (Alto, Mich.) carded a 94 to lower her career best round by four strokes after firing four pars and a birdie for the Falcons on the par-4 eighth hole. Freshman Amanda Gorshe (Appleton, Wis.) was five shots better than her lowest round after shooting a 107 with two pars.

Junior Lexi Westphal (Brownsville, Wis.) carded a season-low 95 for the Falcons, which included three pars and a birdie on the par-4 eighth hole. She posted a team-low 43 on the front nine.

CUW returns to on Thursday, Sept. 25 for the Edgewood College Triangular at Door Creek Golf Course in Cottage Grove, Wis.
