CUW rally saves the weekend
A third period rally and improved overall defensive performance allowed Concordia to tie host Adrian 2-2 on Saturday.
Adrian scored single tallies in the first and second period and appeared on their way to a weekend sweep before the CUW explosion.
Hilary Christiansen finally got Concordia on the board with her fifth goal of the season at 3:17 of the third period (thanks to an Alyssa Isaackson assist) to cut the deficit in half.
Then Jaime Athens took advantage of a 5-3 situation with her fifth goal of the 2009-10 campaign on assists from Isaackson and Sarah Luberda to create the tie.
Both teams had opportunities in overtime, with Lea Jondal turning away all four Adrian shots.
