EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's women's hockey team concluded the 2012-13 season with a 2-1 victory at UW-Eau Claire inside the Hobbs Ice Center during Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play.
The Falcons trailed 1-0 after a period of play before tallying two even-strength goals to secure the come-from-behind win. Statistics were identical in nearly every category, except for UW-EC owning a slight 35-31 shots on goal advantage.
Freshman Michelle Musil (Maple Grove, Minn.) scored her second game-winning goal of her career with 11:33 to play in the contest. Freshman Alexis Machuga (Rochester Hills, Mich.) setup Musil and was credited with an assist on the marker.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Evans (Fairbanks, Alaska), along with the Falcons defense, shut down the Blugolds down the stretch. She recorded 34 saves in the win, her fifth 30-plus save contest of the season.
CUW ends the season with 5-17-3 overall record and a 5-13-2 record in NCHA play, and snapped a six-game losing streak.
