MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Hockey team begins its five-game road swing this week with three games against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams. The Falcons will take on Concordia College Moorhead on Thursday, Hamline University Saturday and St. Catherine on Sunday afternoon.
CUW is coming off a split against another MIAC team, Saint Benedict. The Falcons defeated the Blazers by a 3-1 score last Friday before falling 6-5 on Saturday. In the Saturday contest CUW was down three goals on two separate occasions in the third period, but rallied back to make things interesting. Junior Emily Heckendorf (Merrill, Wis.) scored four points (two goals, two assists) in the third period, setting a new program record for most goals in the period. She was named the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
Live stats will be available for all three games this weekend, courtesy of the three home teams sports information departments.
