MEQUON, Wis. – Last Friday, Concordia Wisconsin Women's Hockey senior Veronika Metanova rewrote the program's record books by becoming the all-time points leader. Metanova tallied four points in a 6-1 win over Marian, giving her 87 points in her impressive four-year career. She passed the previous record of 86 points, which was accomplished by Sarah Luberda (2007-11).

CUWFalcons.com takes a look at some of the numbers that helped Metanova become the Falcons all-time leader in points.

Season-By-Season: Metanova has recorded at least 18 points in each season with the Falcons, led by a career-best 28 this year. In addition, she has tallied double-digit assists in each of her four seasons on the ice, once again led by a career-best 17 this winter. She recorded 20 points her freshman season, 21 during her sophomore campaign, and 18 in 2015-16. Her 28 points this season currently ranks third all-time for most points in a single season, behind 30 from Jaime Athens in 2009-10 and 32 from Luberda in 2010-11.

Big Games: Any time you become a program's all-time leader in the points department, it can safely be assumed you had some big games to reach that mark. Metanova has certainly proved that point with 23 multi-point games in her career, led by three four-point contests and three four-point efforts. She is the only player in program history with three or more four-point contests.

Helpers: A large reason for why Metanova has reached the point's milestone is her ability to set up teammates for goals. She has 53 assists in her career, which is tied for the most all-time in program history. Hilary Christansen also tallied 53 helpers from 2008-12.

Teammates: Several teammates have helped Metanova reach the record by scoring on those 53 helpers she's dished out in four seasons. A total of 14 players scored on those 53 assists, led by Lexi Holman, a player who has 13 goals off of Metanova's assists. Brandi Muller, Lexi Machuga (2012-16) and Emily Heckendorf (2011-15) have each scored seven goals from Metanova assists.

Opponents: Metanova has three teams in which she has reached double-digit point totals in her career. Twenty of her 87 points have come against Finlandia, while she's posted 16 against Marian and 13 in her career against Adrian.
