Women’s Lacrosse selected seventh in MWLC preseason poll
NAPERVILLE, Ill.
- Concordia University Wisconsin's women's lacrosse team
was picked to finish in a tie for seventh place in pre-season
voting by the coaches of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference,
the league announced Wednesday morning.
Adrian College was the popular choice to win the
conference after receiving five first-place votes and 46 total
points. The Bulldogs won the 2011 MWLC regular season with a 7-0
record, and also captured the conference tournament, before
finishing with a 17-5 overall record.
Carthage College was selected second with 38 points
and garnered one first place vote, while Trine University received
37 points and two first place votes to earn third place in the
pre-season rankings.
CUW was tied with College of Mount St. Joseph with 14
total points for the final spot. The Falcons finished their first
year of collegiate lacrosse last season with a 0-12 overall record
and a 0-7 record in MWLC play.
