WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin midfielder Allison Kurek earned Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.

Kurek (Chicago, Illinois) was all over the field during the Falcons victory at Beloit College last week. The junior had a game-high seven caused turnovers, eight draw controls, and five ground balls, to go along with four goals (1-of-1 free-position).

The weekly conference honor for DPOW is the first of the season and ninth of her career.
