MEQUON, Wis. – Sophomore Carley Pfannerstill recorded a hat trick as she helped lead the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Soccer team to a 7-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference win over Alverno College Saturday afternoon at Fitting Field.
Pfannerstill (Grafton, Wis.) got the Falcons on the board early as she scored just 1:00 into play off a pass from freshman Rachel Suarez (Mt. Prospect, Ill.). The Falcons would add two more first half goals, one from sophomore Emily Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.) and another from sophomore Brittany Klumpp (Rubicon, Wis.). Junior Anna Hirssig assisted the Ciesielczyk goal, while sophomore Tehani Dee (West Bend, Wis.) picked up an assist on the Klumpp tally.
CUW continued its offensive dominance in the second half as they scored four times, including two from Pfannerstill, en route to the 7-0 victory. She finished her hat trick 13:44 later when she beat the keeper off a pass from freshman Erin Roepke (St. Louis, Mo.). Also scoring in the second half for the Falcons was Hirssig (Rochester, Minn.) and sophomore Gabrielle Ulik (West Allis, Wis.). Ciesielczyk earned an assist on the Hirssig score, while Ulik netted her goal off a free kick late in the second half.
CUW outshot Alverno 33-1 in the match, including 16-0 in the opening half.
