Ryan Middendorf returned to his alma mater in 2003 and has since become the winningest women’s soccer coach in program history. His team is consistently battling for a Northern Athletics Conference championship with double-digit wins.

The 2013 saw Middendorf lead the Falcons to a 10-8-1 record and a 8-2-1 conference mark. CUW was the only NACC school to defeat Edgewood during the regular season as the Falcons won at least 10 games for the 10th time in 11 seasons under Middendorf.

Middendorf coached three First Team All-NACC players in 2013, which included sophomore Carley Pfannerstill. Pfannerstill was also named to the NSCAA Third Team All Region. The Falcons also had four players selected to the NACC All-Freshman Team in 2013.

In 2012 his program finished with an 15-4-1 record, tying for the best mark in Concordia Wisconsin history. The Falcons have qualified for the NAC Tournament every season since joining the conference prior to the 2006 season.

Since joining the NACC prior to the 2006 season, Middendorf has coached 20 players who have received First Team All-Conference accolades. He also also coached 13 players who were named Second Team and 14 players who were named All-Freshman, including 2012 Freshman of the Year Brittany Klumpp.

Middendorf is no stranger to CUW soccer. After an outstanding high school career at Greendale Martin Luther, he competed for four years (1998-2002) for the CUW men's soccer program under current head coach Tom Saleska.

In January 2014 Middendorf was selected to the CUW Athletics Hall of Fame for his playing career.

A defensive midfielder for the powerful Falcons, Middendorf won Lake Michigan Conference All-Conference and NSCAA All-Region honors, and was named team MVP as a senior. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in physical education, along with a minor in coaching. Middendorf is currently teaching in the Health and Human Performance Department at CUW. He has a United States Soccer Federation National License.

Middendorf's coaching resume includes stints with the Cedarburg Striker Soccer Club, three years as the junior varsity coach and varsity assistant at West Bend East, and a season as the Falcon's men's assistant. He currently coaches for the Milwaukee Sport Club.

Over his career he has compiled a 127-87-10 record in 11 years at CUW, including LMC regular season and tournament championships in 2004, in addition to an NCAA Tournament berth. Middendorf’s 2004 squad was unscored upon in conference action.
