NEW ORLEANS – Both the Men's and Women's Concordia University Wisconsin Cross Country Teams were honored as All-Academic Teams Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Teams must record a team GPA of 3.10 or higher to be recognized.
The CUW Women's Team posted an impressive 3.55 GPA and were one of 215 women's teams who earned the All-Academic honor. The Falcons were also one of seven NACC teams to be recognized by the USTFCCCA, ranking with the best GPA out of all the conference schools.
On the men's side, CUW finished with a 3.34 GPA. Five NACC schools received the honor and a total of 146 Division III teams were All-Academic. The Falcons had the second highest GPA of the NACC schools, as Benedictine posted a 3.36.
Johns Hopkins was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year, while St. Olaf earned that honor on the men's side. Both teams also claimed the Division III National Championship in November.
