The R. John Buuck Field House officially opened its doors on September 30, 1989. It serves as a central hub for Concordia University Wisconsin athletics, housing a variety of facilities and services. These include a 1,800-seat gymnasium, practice courts, a mezzanine level, an indoor track, the Friends of Concordia Room, the CUW Athletics Hall of Fame, and locker rooms for both male and female student-athletes.

In the summer of 2024, the gymnasium underwent a full renovation. The upgrades included the installation of ADA-compliant bleachers, a fresh coat of uniform white paint on the walls, and a redesigned floor featuring an outline of the state of Wisconsin.
