Oshkosh
Concordia's 9 match unbeaten streak came to an abrupt halt via
UW- Oshkosh (6-4-2) last evening. The hosts used their team speed
up front to race past the Falcons 6-2 as Nicole Strieker and
Caitlyn Casey put constant pressure on the CUW goal.
Falcon freshman Lauren Straehler scored twenty minutes into the
contest to make it 1-1 but that goal appeared to create a Titan
frenzy as the winners got a pair of tallies in the next two minutes
to pull away. "We did not show up to play," said Coach Ryan
Middendorf.
Becky Ott got CUW's other tally with seven minutes remaining in
the contest but it was 5-1 UW-O by that point. Middendorf's team
fell to 8-4-2 and heads to Lisle, Illinois for a key NAC matchup
with Dominican Saturday afternoon.
