Alverno came to
Fitting Field with a 3-1-0 non-conference record but the visitors
were no match for CUW as the Falcons scored 5 times in the first
half on the way to a 6-0 win. It took sixteen minutes for Concordia
to wear down the Inferno defense before Renee Hecker got the first
goal off a Becky Ott assist.
Scores came in
quick succession toward the end of the period, however, with Emily
Waldorf, Ott, Kelli Wittenberg, and Kelly Sippel all finding the
back of the net for CUW before the first half ended.
Cathy Palese
got the only goal of the second half as all 29 Falcons saw
action. Statistics told the
story with CUW outshooting Alverno 44-2. Ryan Middendorf's squad
improved to 3-3 on the season and 1-0 in the NAC.
