A 3 run 4th inning was the key as host Edgewood defeated
Concordia 5-2 in the first game of their Tuesday doubleheader.
CUW took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single in the first by Jenna
DiMaggio but the Eagles (5-2 in the NAC) quickly tied the score in
their half of the inning.
The game remained deadlocked at 1-1 until Edgewood's Kristen
Salvatore blasted a 3 run homer off Concordia starter Danielle
Burke (8-4) in the fatal 4th.
Steve Crook's team rallied to score one run but left the bases
loaded in the 5th.
Emily Bennin was the lone Falcon to record 2 hits as CUW fell to
11-12 on the season.
