Defensive lapses cost Falcons

Milwaukee

Danielle Burke (11-6) pitched a 2 hitter but her Falcon teammates made 5 crucial errors that led to 3 unearned runs as CUW (17-15) dropped a 3-1 decision at Wisconsin Lutheran in the first game of Monday's doubleheader.

Concordia got their only run in the first when Stephanie Brunette singled to lead off and eventually came around on Emily Bennin's sacrifice fly.

The Warriors tied the game in the third thanks to a pair of CUW errors and got what proved to be the game-winner in the 4th on another Falcon miscue.

Steve Crook's team managed ony 3 hits of Katie Timm (7-7) as Wisconsin Lutheran improved to 9-20 on the season.
