Steve Roberts had his best round of the season (75) on the first
day of this Invite. Aurora won the meet with a final 603 4
man total for 36 holes.
The Falcons finished at 660.
After that first day, Concordia was in the upper grouping. only
18 strokes out of first. "On day two we had to substitute some
golfers. The good news was that we got 8 players in the mix, and
some more team experience. The bad news was it may have affected
our momentum," said Coach Ray Engelking.
First time golfer Adam Domaas shot a very respectable 84 on day
two. Eric Hertel(80-82) remained solid as did Captain Greg Rusch
(80-83). Mike Phung and Graylyn Douglas both shot 86's.
"We will be competing for the top five spots this week as we
head into our final important two conference meets. We hope to send
our most competitive team. We are getting closer, but time will
tell," explained Engelking.
