CUW (14-5) broke a 2-2 tie with a two out fifth inning rally and
held on to defeat Edgewood 4-2 in game one of Wednesday's home
doubleheader.
The decisive fifth inning output began with two outs. Cara
Landherr's single was followed by a booming double by Abbie
Goetsch. Then both runners were plated on a sharp single up the
middle by Stephanie Kramer.
The hosts pounded out 11 hits off loser Bria Hahn (3-3).
Danielle Burke won her seventh game of the season with a
route-going performance.
