Trailing 1-0 entering the bottom of the third, Concordia went to
work offensively to stay alive in the NAC tournament Friday
evening.
Jannelle Schroder singled and eventually scored on a sac fly to tie
the game after 3 innings.
The Falcons used Dominican wildness to pull ahead 3-1 after four
innings, and then added 3 more runs in their final two at bats to
pull away from the Stars.
Danielle Burke (14-3) got the win, outdueling Jenny Mahoney
(12-6).
The Falcons, one of three teams
remaining in the double elimination tourney, play the loser of the
Benedictine- Aurora game at 11:00am Saturday. BU and CUW each have
one loss while top seeded Aurora has no tourney losses.
Sarah Cochran had 3 of Concordia's 9 hits as CUW improved to 32-9
with their second win after a tourney-opening defeat.
