Results: Carthage Private College Invite
KENOSHA,
Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's and
women's track & field teams turned in some solid performances
in their first indoor meet of the season on Saturday, as they
participated in the Carthage Private College Invite inside Carthage
College's Tarble Athletic Center.
North Central College
(Ill.) took first place on the men's side with 179 points, and
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee won the women's competition with
162.5 points.
The Falcon men finished
in 10th with 19 points, while the women's team placed 11th while
scoring nine points.
On the men's side,
senior Justin Rogers (Milwaukee, Wis.) placed third overall in the
55m Dash, posting a team-best time of 6.66 seconds. He also placed sixth overall in the
Triple Jump, with a mark of 13.06 meters.
Sophomores Sean Pawlak
(Germantown, Wis.) and Martin Hinze (Bourbonnais, Ill.) also
impressed for the Falcon men, as Pawlak finished fourth overall in
the 400m Dash with a time of 52.02 seconds, while Hinze placed
ninth overall in the 800m Run with a time of 2:01.95.
For the women,
sophomore Alexandra Garcia (West Allis, Wis.) finished ninth
overall in the 55m Dash with a time of 8.01 seconds, while
sophomore Jessica Henning (Springfield, Ill.) finished eighth in
the 200m Dash at 28.96 seconds.
Both CUW teams will be
back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Whitewater, Wis. to
compete in the Rocky Rococo Invite. The meet is slated to start at 10
am.
