MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Soccer team fell in another one-goal match Saturday, this one a 1-0 setback against Edgewood College at Fitting Field. The Eagles scored late in the first half and held on for the NACC win over the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The lone goal for Edgewood came on a far shot by Mady Warda. Warda launched by ball high into the air and it appeared CUW was set to corral it in for a save but instead a bobble allowed the ball to go into the back of the net, giving Edgewood a 1-0 lead.
- It was a defensive match as the two teams combined for just 16 shots, nine of those by CUW. Edgewood received a six-save performance from Sabelle Seabrook.
- Sophomores Kayla Schlosser (Germantown, Wis.) and Nicole Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.) each had two shots to pace the Falcons attack.
- Junior Tabitha Ortiz (Plainfield, Ill.) made three saves for the Falcons.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- CUW is in search of any break to go its way as the Falcons have now dropped nine one-goal contests this season.
UP NEXT
- The Falcons will look to gets things going in the right direction Tuesday in a NACC matchup against Alverno. CUW and Alverno are set for a 4 p.m. start at Fitting Field.
