TEMPE, Ariz. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Triathlon team finished its second season by competing at the USAT Collegiate Nationals Sunday in Tempe. The Falcons were paced by Samantha Hoyt, who posted a time of 1:21.57.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons sent five to compete in Tempe, with three finishing the race and two getting lapped out. Joining Hoyt among the finishers were Mary Karsten (Waupun, Wis.) and Meghan Klement (Muskego, Wis.).
- Hoyt finished 64th in the race by posting a time of 1:21.57. She was followed closely by Karsten, who crossed the finish line in 1:22.11.
- Klement posted a 70th-place finish, completing the race in 1:25.42. Danielle Morgan (Butternut, Wis.) and Anne Karsten (Waupun, Wis.) also competed Sunday.
THE MEET
- Host Arizona State had the top three competitors, highlighted by Hannah Henry, who won the race with a time of 1:03.34. Arizona State also won the team title for the second consecutive year.
