MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW women's cross country team soared on Saturday at the WLC Warrior Invitational. The Falcons won the race with 20 points. The host Warriors finished in second place at 38 points and Lakeland sat in third place at 84 points. The men's and women's team won the combined team award.
Senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) won the race with a time of 24:35.96.
In second place was sophomore MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) at 24:40.76.
Clocking in at 26:16.27 was senior Honey Rose Macatuno (Kodiak, Alaska) in fourth place.
Sophomore Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) crossed the finish line at 26:27.76 in sixth place.
Senior Alden Goucher (Port Charlotte, Fla.) finished in ninth place at 26:52.21.
Freshman Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) clocked in at 26:49.23 in seventh place.
In 11th place at 27:08.94 was freshman Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.).
Freshman Naomi Gahan (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished the race in 15th place at 28:42.23.
Freshman Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) rounded out the lineup for the Blue and White in 18th place at 30:33.37.
CUW will run again on Saturday at Concordia Wisconsin.
