ROCKFORD, Ill. – The NACC Championships concluded on Sunday for the women's golf team.
The tournament was won by the Spartans of Aurora who posted 1008 strokes for the three-day weekend.
The Falcons finished the Championships in fifth place with a final team score of 1170 strokes. CUW lowered its score everyday at the NACC Championships
The Falcons were led by sophomore Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.). Curley posted a tournament score of 273 strokes that would slot her in 10th place. This would qualify her for All-NACC honors.
Freshman Elizabeth Montaba (Plymouth, Wis.) recorded a 286-stroke weekend to place 20th over the course of the tournament. Senior Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) was close behind after a 294-stroke outing.
Senior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) posted scores of 102-112-103 over the three days to combine for 317 strokes on the course. Junior Hannah Conger (Davenport, Iowa) and freshman Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.) posted scores of 369 strokes and 386 strokes respectively.
This will conclude the Falcons' Fall portion of their golf schedule. The women's golf team will return in the Spring for some more NACC golf.
