Men's Golf Finishes Last Tournament Before NACC Championships

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's golf team competed in the MSOE Invitational on Sunday and Monday.

The invite was won by Wisconsin-Parkside with a final weekend score of 591 strokes which was 19 over par.

The Falcons finished the tournament at 638 strokes slotting them in ninth place of all opponents and third of NACC opponents.

The Falcons were led by sophomore Andrew Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) with a final weekend score of 151 strokes (78-73).  This would put him at eight over par and 14th overall.

Coming in second for the Falcons was senior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) with a score of 154 strokes (82-72).  Carlton finished the Monday round even to par.

Bringing in third for the Falcon team was junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) with a two-day score of 161 strokes (79-82). 

Carsten Zange, a junior from Robins, Iowa, posted scores of 87 strokes and 85 strokes to post a 172-stroke tournament.  Freshman Joshua Samsell (Bay City, Mich.) rounded out the team for the Falcons with a final score of 217 strokes.

The Falcons return to action in their final tournament of the Fall season at the NACC Championships in Kohler, Wisconsin.
