CHICAGO – The CUW men's track & field team compete in a field of NACC schools at the Aurora Grand Prix on Saturday. The Falcons finished in second place with 93 points.
Junior Gideon Cain brought home a pair of gold medals in the shot put and weight throw. His shot put mark of 14.97 meters is a school record. He also finished at 13.69 meters in the weight throw.
Junior William Ebel won the silver medal in the 800-meter run at 2:05.11. He was also third in the mile run at 4:45.20.
Senior Paul Leahy was second in the long jump at 6.33 meters.
Freshman Tim Brey secured a second-place finish in the 3000-meter run at 9:15.09.
Freshman Keegan Palm reached 3.10 meters in third place in the pole vault.
Freshman Robert Taylor finished in fourth place in the 60-meter dash at 7.34.He also led CUW in the 200-meter dash at 24.80.
Junior Austin Lopez was fourth in the high jump at 1.72 meters.
In fifth place in the 400-meter dash was senior Preus Hasselbrook at 54.24.
