DECATUR, Ill. – The CUW women's golf team opened play at the Carthage Spring Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Falcons finished the day at 432 strokes in 11th place. Illinois Wesleyan leads the competition with 336 strokes.
Senior Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) leads the charge for the Falcons in 43rd place at 99 strokes.
Freshman Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) walked into the clubhouse in 47th place at 104 strokes.
Currently tied for 55th place is junior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) at 113 strokes.
Freshman Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis.) shot 116 strokes on Friday and is in 58th place.
The Falcons finish the competition on Saturday.
