RACINE, Wis. – The CUW men's tennis team opened the 2022 season on Saturday. The Falcons opened the day with an 8-1 loss to Carthage and a 5-4 loss to Wisconsin – La Crosse.
Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) picked up the lone point of the day for the Falcons against the Firebirds. He won at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-2 victory.
The Falcons picked up two victories in doubles play against UWL. The team of Logan Snyder and freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) secured an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Junior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and freshman Izak Roscher (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) won at No. 3 doubles at 8-5.
Landon Sather claimed a 6-1, 7-6 victory at No. 3 singles and Peter Naylor won at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 7-5.
CUW looks to bounce back on Saturday against Millikin and Wisconsin-Whitewater.
