Falcons Finish off Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team finished up their first full week after their Spring Break time off.

The Rocket League team started off the back end of the week with a matchup against Buena Vista. The Blue and White started hot with a pair of game victories with scores of 2-1 and 3-2. Buena Vista came back hot with the reverse sweep win over the flock. The last three games finished with scores of 1-2, 3-7, and 1-2. Senior Austin Esterly (Lombard, Ill.) and sophomore Evan Moody (Milwaukee, Wis.) led the team with four goals each. In their Wisconsin Rocket League matchup with UW-Platteville, the Falcons fell with a score of 1-3. The birds dropped the first game 2-3 but fought back and won game two with a score of 1-0. Platteville took the remaining two games with scores of 2-3 and 3-4 in the tight matchup to finish off the evening on Thursday.

The Falcons Smash team took on Dominican College on Tuesday and came out victorious with a two-game sweep.

The game's scores went the route of the Falcons with 1-0 and 7-0 finishes. Captain De'Shawn Ford (Gardena, Calif.) led with 12 eliminations.

The Overwatch team remained on their winning tear and improved to 7-0 on the Spring season with a victory over Southern Illinois. The Falcons have yet to drop a single NECC game in the Overwatch title and are not looking to anytime soon. "Our dominance has been ridiculous," Said coach Andrew Whal. "The fact that we have swept every single opponent we have faced just shows how well the team is doing."

The Falcons look to keep up their momentum in their matchups next week.
