MEQUON, Wis. – Sunday did not pan out for the Falcons in a battle of the top-two teams in the NACC. The Scarlet Hawks secured an 8-1 victory to put themselves in the driver's seat in the NACC at 4-0 and 6-9 on the year. The Falcons move to 7-9 and 4-1 in the NACC.
The lone point of the day came at No. 1 doubles for the Falcons with senior Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) and freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) snagging an 8-3 victory.
At No. 2 doubles, senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) rallied to force a tiebreaker but fell short.
Landon Sather forced a third set on court three but fell 7-5, 2-6, 6-3.
The Falcons look to shake off Sunday when they are scheduled to close the regular season at MSOE on April 23. The Marian match has not established a makeup date yet.
